Ingredients

  • 6 slices whole wheat bread,cut into 1" pieces
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries (not frozen)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make blueberry-orange french toast casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Coat 8" square baking dish with cooking spray. Combine bread and blueberries in prepared baking dish.
  • Step 2
    Whisk milk and sugar in medium bowl until sugar is dissolved. Whisk in eggs , egg whites, orange peel,and vanilla. Pour over bread mixture;toss to coat. Let stand 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Bake 40-45 minutes or until top of bread is browned and center is almost set. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
