1 large butter croissant
4 tbsp. cream cheese
2 tbsp. nutella
1/2 banana, sliced into round
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. rum
½ tsp. vanilla extract
butter
powdered sugar, optional
fresh fruit, optional

How to Make Banana Nutella Stuffed Croissant

Step-by-Step

  • 1Slice croissant lengthwise almost all the way through. Spread cream cheese on both sides. Spread Nutella on top of cream cheese. Toss banana slices with brown sugar and put in ovenproof pan. Put under a hot broiler for about 30 seconds or until the sugar melts. Put banana slices on top of Nutella and close the croissant. In bowl, mix egg, milk, sugar, rum and vanilla mix until well blended. Dunk croissant into batter, soaking well. Heat a sauté pan over medium heat and coat with a little butter. Add croissant and cook like French toast, turning once. Top with powdered sugar and fresh fruit, if desired. Makes 1 serving.
