baked oatmeal
This is very good and so easy to do. My family loves it. My favorite way to serve it is with apples sauteed in butter and a bit of brown sugar wiith a touch of ginger and cinnamon.

Ingredients
- 3 cups old fashioned oats (not instant)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup milk or half and half
- 1/2 cup melted butter
How To Make baked oatmeal

Step 1In a large bowl, combine the oats, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, salt and cinamon. Stir together and set aside.

Step 2In another bowl beat eggs, milk and butter then stir this into the oats and blend well.

Step 3Spoon into buttered 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Sprinkle the last 1/4 cup sugar over the top and return to oven till sugar melts. Turn on broiler and broil 2-3 minutes.

Step 4Serve with additional milk and fruit as desired. You can also bake fruit and nuts into this also if you prefer.
