Ingredients
- FRENCH TOAST
- 1 - loaf French bread, dried out cut into 1 inch slices
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup apple juice concentrate
- 3 tablespoons vanilla extract
- APPLE CINNAMON TOPPING
- 1 large apple, peeled, cored and cut into small chunks
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
How To Make baked apple cinnamon french toast

Step 1Place dried and sliced bread in a 9x13 casserole dish.

Step 2Combine the beaten eggs, milk, cream, sugar, apple juice concentrate, and vanilla extract.

Step 3Pour over the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 4Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place the chunked apple and 1/4 cup butter in a saucepan for the apple cinnamon topping. Heat until boiling. Remove from heat. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Allow to set for 5 minutes.

Step 5Press the French toast down into the pan using a fork or spatula. Pour the apple cinnamon topping over the bread.

Step 6Bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Step 7Remove from oven. Press the bread back down in the pan as it will rise as it cooks. Top with 3 Tbsp melted butter. Turn the oven off. Let the toast sit in the oven for 5 – 10 min or until ready for serving.
