Nothing new, but so easy to throw together for those of us with a deep love of bagels

  • 1
    egg per bagel half
  • 1 slice
    your favorite cheese
  • 1
    bagel sliced in half
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter or good quality margarine
  • ·
    fresh ground pepper, sea salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp
    canola oil for use in bowl under bagel

How to Make Bagel Breakfast


  1. slice bagel and butter, place in microwave safe bowl with canola oil smeared inside.
  2. chunk up cheese slice and arrange on buttered bagel.
  3. crack one large egg over bagel and cheese, break yolk. Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Microwave approximately 1 minute on high, let rest for one minute and serve in same bowl.
