Ingredients

  • 1 - 9" deep dish pie crust, unbaked
  • 1/2 pound pork sausage
  • - hot sauce
  • 4 ounces chopped green chiles, drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • - salt
  • - pepper
  • - parmesan cheese, optional

How To Make sausage quiche

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium skillet over medium high heat, brown sausage until no longer pink; drain. Add hot sauce to taste and green chiles. Spread meat mixture in bottom of crust. Sprinkle cheese over meat mixture.
  • Step 2
With wire whisk, beat eggs. Add evaporated milk, salt and pepper to taste; beating until well blended. Pour egg mixture over cheese. Bake 45 minutes. If filling is set but crust is not golden brown, cut a circle of aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. Place foil on filling and continue to cook another 10 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool 10 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
