I found this recipe at http://www.recipelion.com/Savory-Pies/Quiche-Lorraine-3, but because it had an identical title to another Quiche Lorraine recipe I had previously posted, it wouldn't let me pinch it with the browser app, so I have transcribed it here.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 9" pie shell
  • 8 - slices bacon, diced
  • 1/2 cup scallions with tops, chopped
  • 6 - eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 cup swiss cheese, grated
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

How To Make quiche lorraine

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Brown bacon lightly. Drain excess grease and add scallions. Cook until golden brown, cool slightly.
  • Step 3
    Combine eggs, onion salt, cheese, and bacon mixture; add cream and blend well.
  • Step 4
    Pour into pie shell, sprinkle with nutmeg, and bake at 375 for 30 - 35 minutes.
