  • 1 lb
    bulk pork sausage
  • 10 slice
  • 1 can(s)
    4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 1/2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c
    shredded swiss cheese
  • 6 large
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 c
    whole milk
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Mushroom Sausage Strata


  1. In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
  2. Place bread cubes in a greased 9x 13-inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle with the sausage, mushrooms and cheeses.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk the remaining ingredients; pour over the cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
  6. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean
  7. Let sit 10 minutes before cutting.
