This recipe given to me by my sister who is a great cook. Another family favorite. I was surprised how fast and easy I was able to put this together. Great use for leftover ham.

prep time 20 Min
cook time 30 Min
method Bake
yield 8 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 - unbaked pie shell
  • small amount of mustard, only enough to coat pie shell bottom
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil or 1tsp dried
  • 3 - eggs
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • dash pepper
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese, grated

How To Make easy ham and cheese quiche

  • Step 1
Prebake pie shell at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. Helps to prick the bottom of shell before baking. When cool, "paint" the bottom of the shell with the mustard.
  • Step 2
Mix together: diced ham, mozzarella cheese and basil.
  • Step 3
Sprinkle mixture on the bottom of the pie shell.
  • Step 4
Beat together the eggs, whipping cream, pepper and the Parmesan cheese.
  • Step 5
Pour over the ham and cheese mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
