This recipe given to me by my sister who is a great cook. Another family favorite.
I was surprised how fast and easy I was able to put this together. Great use for leftover ham.

Ingredients

1
unbaked pie shell
small
amount of mustard, only enough to coat pie shell bottom
1 c
diced ham
1 c
grated mozzarella cheese
1 Tbsp
fresh chopped basil or 1tsp dried
3
eggs
3/4 c
whipping cream
dash(es)
pepper
1 Tbsp
parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make Easy Ham and Cheese Quiche

Step-by-Step

  • 1Prebake pie shell at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. Helps to prick the bottom of shell before baking. When cool, "paint" the bottom of the shell with the mustard.
  • 2Mix together: diced ham, mozzarella cheese and basil.
  • 3Sprinkle mixture on the bottom of the pie shell.
  • 4Beat together the eggs, whipping cream, pepper and the Parmesan cheese.
  • 5Pour over the ham and cheese mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
