I got this recipe off a can of Hatch Green Chilies. I use the hot ones, but you can use either hot or mild for this recipe.

Ingredients

8 large
eggs
1/2 c
flour
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
12 oz
monterey jack cheese, grated
2 (4) can(s)
green chilies, chopped

How to Make Chili Squares

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish.
  • 2Beat the eggs until light. Blend flour with baking powder and salt. Add to the eggs and mix well.
  • 3Fold in the cheese and chilies and spread in the greased baking dish. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until set. Cool for 5 minutes then cut into small squares for appetizers or large squares for breakfast or snacks.
  • 4For appetizers place on serving dish and serve with fancy toothpicks.
