These bars are so good. It's another well received dish the folks at Church easy too! I used mushrooms today, you can leave them out if you prefer...sometimes I add some heat to them by adding red pepper flakes...

These can be eaten cold as well as hot, that's what makes them nice to take somewhere.

  • 4 Tbsp
  • 1 - 14 oz
    bag, small frozen broccoli florets thawed ( i use birdseye )
  • 1 small
    onion, chopped - i used red today
  • 1 c
  • 3
  • 3/4 tsp
  • 16 oz
    cheddar cheese - i used sharp
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 c
    chopped mushrooms - optional

How to Make Broccoli & Cheddar Bars


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

    In a 9 x 13 baking dish, place butter and place in oven to melt.
  2. In a large bowl, thoroughly mix all other ingredients together.
  3. Spread into pan evenly.
  4. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes.

    Leave cool for a few minutes before cutting.
