Great overnight casserole for large breakfast crowd. Easy to prepare - overnight in the refrigerator - and then bake in the morning - YUM.

Ingredients

  • 8 - eggs
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 1 large french bread loaf
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

How To Make breakfast sausage casserole

  • Step 1
    Cook sausage until done. Drain and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Beat eggs, half & half, salt, mustard, and pepper in bowl.
  • Step 3
    Slice French bread 1/2 - 3/4 " thick. Line greased 9" x 13" baking pan with sliced bread.
  • Step 4
    Layer sausage on top of bread, then cheese.
  • Step 5
    Pour egg mixture over these ingredients.
  • Step 6
    Cover and refrigerator overnight.
  • Step 7
    Uncover and bake at 350 for about 45 minutes, or until set and knife comes out clean.
