Texans are always finding ways to use pecans. There is nothing better than a recipe that uses our peaches and pecans.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2/3 teaspoon sal
  • 2/3 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 cup fresh mashed peaches
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

How To Make texas peach pecan bread

  • Step 1
    In a bowl, stir flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, cream sugar and margarine. Add eggs and sour cream: beat well.
  • Step 3
    Add flour and peaches and mix. Add pecans and stir in well by hand.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes. Makes one large loaf. (Or, 2 small loaf pans)
