I got this recipe from my mother in law it was her mothers. Everyone loves these rolls.

Ingredients

2 c
milk
1/2 c
butter
1/2 c
sugar
2
eggs
2 tsp
salt
6 or 7 c
flour
2 pkg
dry yeast
1/4 c
warm water
1 Tbsp
sugar

How to Make sweet dough for rolls

Step-by-Step

  • 1place water in glass bowl. Sprinkle yeast and 1 Tbs of sugar over water,let it come to a foam.
  • 2Scald milk add butter,sugar,and salt. Let it cool, then add your yeast and beaten eggs. Then add flour,do not make dough stiff. Lightly kneed and place dough in a well greased bowl,let raise until doubled about 1 1/2 hours.
  • 3Punch down,make into rolls grease top with melted butter,cover let rise until double approx. 1 hour.
  • 4Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
