Ingredients
- 6 cups sifted flour
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 cup warm water
- 4 tablespoons margarine
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 3 packages yeast dissolved in 2 1/4c warm water
- 2 tablespoons melted lard
How To Make swedish white bread

Step 1Sift flour, sugar and salt. Make hole in center. Add the yeast, water and milk. Stir all together well then add shortening. Blend and knead well on floured board.

Step 2Put in bowl, form in ball, cover with towel and wet rise for 15 minutes. Knead again for 10 minutes. Fold over, knead with base of hands, fold each side and repeat.

Step 3Divide into 2 loaves. Place each in well greased bread pans. Cover with a towel and let rise for one hour.

Step 4Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Put shelf at low level and bake about 40 minutes. Ten minutes before baking time ends, remove from pan, brush tops with undiluted condensed milk or butter, return to oven to brown last 10 minutes IMPORTANT> Never use cold ingredients, keep the dough warm and covered
