My family loves this recipe because it is so moist and I use NO OIL! You can substitute nuts in place of the chocolate chips or just leave them out.

  • 1 1/2 C
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 C
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 C
    granulated sugar
  • 1/4 t
  • 1/4 t
    cinnamon (ground)
  • 1/2 t
  • 1 t
    baking soda
  • 1 t
    vanilla extract
  • 1 C
  • 4-6 medium
    bananas (ripe)
  • 2
  • 1/4 C
    chocolate chips

How to Make Super Moist Banana Chocolate Chip Bread


  1. In a large mixing bowl add: Vanilla, Applesauce, Bananas and Eggs & mix well with a spoon. DO NOT puree the bananas, just mash them either with a potato masher or fork until they are about 1/2 inch pieces or chunks. I DO NOT use an electric mixer with this recipe. For some reason, it comes out better mixing it by hand! :)
  2. Add the dry ingredients in a separate bowl & mix until well blended. Then add to the bowl with the wet ingredients. Mix well.
  3. Add Chocolate Chips until mixed thoroughly into dough.
  4. Grease a bread pan (both bottom & sides of pan).
  5. Add Banana Bread Dough to the bread pan & bake at 350 degrees for about an hour (60-75 minutes) depending on your oven.
  6. Cool on cooling rack or oven burner for about an hour. Slice & enjoy.
