This recipe uses Sunset Gourmet Harvest Beer Bread Mix (for my American friends I believe Tastefully Simple sells a Beer Bread Mix). The glaze is optional, but when given a choice; I go with the glaze, always!

Ingredients

  • 1 box
    sunset gourmet's harvest beer bread mix
  • 1 can(s)
    ginger ale
  • 2
    ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 c
    fresh strawbarries, diced
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3 Tbsp
    milk

How to Make Strawberry Banana Loaf with Vanilla Glaze

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 325F, line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In large bowl combine beer bread mix with ginger ale. Stir in mashed bananas and strawberries.
  3. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake 40-45 minutes.
  4. To prepare glaze: combine powdered sugar, butter and vanilla. Slowly add milk, stirring until smooth. Extra milk can be added to thin out glaze to your taste. Spread over bread.
