This recipe can be doubled. I have used canned pumpkin instead of squash and it is still mighty tasty

2 cbutternut squash,cooked

2/3 cshortening

2 2/3 csugar

4eggs

2/3 cwater

3 1/3 cflour

2 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tspbaking powder

1 tspcloves

1 tspcinnamon

2/3 craisins

2/3 cchopped walnuts
How To Make squash bread

1grease and flour 2 large loaf pans

2blend squash, shortening and sugar

3add eggs and water
-
4sift together flour, soda, salt,b.powder,cinnamon and cloves. Add to squash mixture, blend well

5Add nuts and raisins mix

6Bake preheated oven 350* for 1 hour and 10 min. or toothpick comes out clean.
