Ingredients
- 2 cups butternut squash,cooked
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 2 2/3 cups sugar
- 4 - eggs
- 2/3 cup water
- 3 1/3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2/3 cup raisins
- 2/3 cup chopped walnuts
How To Make squash bread

Step 1grease and flour 2 large loaf pans

Step 2blend squash, shortening and sugar

Step 3add eggs and water

Step 4sift together flour, soda, salt,b.powder,cinnamon and cloves. Add to squash mixture, blend well

Step 5Add nuts and raisins mix

Step 6Bake preheated oven 350* for 1 hour and 10 min. or toothpick comes out clean.
