solid pack pumpkin
3/4 c
lager beer
1/2 c
canola oil
2 large
2 1/4 c
all purpose flour
2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
3/4 tsp
baking soda
1/4 tsp
freshly grated nutmeg
1/8 tsp
ground cloves
1/2 c
plumped raisins
1/2 c
pecans, coarsely chopped

How to Make Spicy Pumpkin Beer Bread


  • 1Preheat oven 350° and grease and flour a (9x5 inch) loaf pan or 4 mini-loaves.

    Whisk the first 5 ingredients.

    Mix next 7 ingredients together in another bowl.
  • 2Combine mixtures with a whisk or wooden spoon til just moistened. Fold in nuts and raisins.

    Pour beer bread batter into pans and bake 65 minutes or til a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Cool the beer bread loaves in the pan for 10 minutes, turn out onto wire rack and cool 1 hour before slicing (if using mini-pans to make the spicy pumpkin beer bread, bake 45 minutes or til toothpick comes out clean).
