soften yeast in warm water. Combine scalded milk (cooled) sugar, shortening,and salt.Add 1 1/2 cups flour. Beat well. Beat in yeast and egg. Gradually add remaining flour to form a soft dough. Place in greased bowl covered to rise. About 2 hours. Turn out on floured surface and shape into balls. Place 3 balls into cupcake pan. Cover and rise a second time.(30-45 min) Bake at 350 degree oven for 15 min.
