Ingredients
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 cup scalded milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 - egg
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup shortening
How To Make roll dough

Step 1soften yeast in warm water. Combine scalded milk (cooled) sugar, shortening,and salt.Add 1 1/2 cups flour. Beat well. Beat in yeast and egg. Gradually add remaining flour to form a soft dough. Place in greased bowl covered to rise. About 2 hours. Turn out on floured surface and shape into balls. Place 3 balls into cupcake pan. Cover and rise a second time.(30-45 min) Bake at 350 degree oven for 15 min.

Step 2For cinnamon rolls: I roll the dough out on countertop. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, and brown sugar. I don't measure ; just a good handful of each. Then I melt butter ( 1 stick) and drizzle over top. Start rolling up and seal raw edge. Cut in 1 1/2 inch slices. Place on cookie sheet cut side down. Bake in 350 degree oven apx 25 min.
