rich banana bread
Based on a recipe I found online. I changed the spices, added more banana, and changed the sugar. This would be fabulous with other fruits, too. Strawberries, peaches, cherries ... Mmmmm.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 bananas, mashed
How To Make rich banana bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x5" loaf pan.

Step 2In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Set aside.

Step 3In a smaller bowl, mash the bananas and set aside.

Step 4In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 5Mix in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 6Blend in the flour mixture in three parts, beating well after each addition.

Step 7Stir in the bananas and vanilla, mixing just enough to evenly combine. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Step 8Bake in preheated oven for 90 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Step 9Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out on a wire rack to cool completely.
