Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 2/3 cup oil
- 1 - egg
- 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk*
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup rhubarb, chopped fine
- 1/2 cup black walnuts (optional)
- TOPPING
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
How To Make rhubarb bread

Step 1Mix all the ingredients except the rhubarb and walnuts. Add them last and pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Sprinkle on top the soft butter and sugar mixture. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

Step 2*To sour milk add 1 teaspoon of plain vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup of 2% milk and let sit for 10-15 minutes. The milk with curdle slightly.
