Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange rind
- 1 - egg, well beaten
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 2 cups whole raspberries, fresh or frozen
How To Make raspberry nut bread

Step 1Sift together dry ingredients.

Step 2Cut in shortening until mixture is like coarse cornmeal.

Step 3Combine orange juice and rind with egg.

Step 4Pour all at once into dry ingredients, mixing just enough to moisten.

Step 5Fold in nuts and raspberries.

Step 6Pour into a greased loaf pan. Spread corners and sides slightly higher than center.

Step 7Bake at 350 for about 1 hour or until crust is golden brown and toothpick comes out clean.

Step 8Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan and finish cooling.
