    salt
  • HALF tsp
    nutmeg
  • HALF c
    cold butter
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 1 c
    buttermilk
  • 1
    egg white
  • ·
    sugar for dusting

How to Make RAISIN SCONES

Step-by-Step

  1. COMBINE DRY INGREDIENTS
  2. CUT IN BUTTER UNTIL MIXTURE RESEMBLES COARSE CRUMBS
  3. STIR IN RAISINS AND BUTTERMILK TILL MOISTENED
    [GENTLY]
  4. FLOUR BOARD
    KNEAD GENTLY 6-8 TIMES AND PAT IN A 8" CIRCLE
    CUT INTO 12 WEDGES
  5. PLACE ON GREASED COOKIE SHEET AND BRUSH TOP WITH BEATEN EGG WHITE AND SPRINKLE WITH CINNAMON AND SUGAR
  6. BAKE IN 425 DEGREE OVEN 12-15 MINUTES
