quick orange bread
This is a beloved recipe of my Grandmother,a fast easy bread to make in a pinch for breakfast, for gift or whatever your occasion. My kids love it & ask for it often dress it up with blue berries or dried cranberries.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup orange juice, fresh you can use bottled of course
- 2 tablespoons grated orange rinds, i use candied
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dates, chopped or dried cranberries (optional)
- 1 - egg beaten
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Step 1Stir ingredients in order given, sift flour, salt, baking powder & baking soda for smoother stirring.

Step 2Bake in greased loaf pan, in 325 oven 45 minutes or until golden & set. Makes one large loaf or 2 smaller loaves
