Ingredients
- 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup strong coffee
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1 - egg
- 1/4 cup canned pumpkin pie mix
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- - vegetable oil for frying
- CREAM CHEESE DRIZZLE
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons half and half, add up to 2 tablespoons additional
- 1 cup chopped candied pecans

Step 1In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in coffee, half & half, egg, pumpkin pie mix, vanilla and orange zest until just combined.

Step 2Pour about 1" oil in large skillet. Heat to 375 degrees. Pour about 1/3 cup batter thru funnel. Swirling in a circular motion. Fry about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes. Turn. Fry about 1 - 1 1/2 minutes or until golden. Remove. Place on paper toweling. Keep warm.

Step 3In small bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, and 2 tablespoons half & half. Stir well. Add additional cream to thin if necessary. Drizzle a generous tablespoon over funnel cake. Top each with a generous tablespoon candied pecans. Serve immediately.
