Pumpkin Spice everything season is just around the corner. Here's one that combines fall and carnival food into one.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plus 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup strong coffee
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1 - egg
  • 1/4 cup canned pumpkin pie mix
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • - vegetable oil for frying
  • CREAM CHEESE DRIZZLE
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons half and half, add up to 2 tablespoons additional
  • 1 cup chopped candied pecans

How To Make pumpkin spice latte funnel cake

  • Step 1
    In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in coffee, half & half, egg, pumpkin pie mix, vanilla and orange zest until just combined.
  • Step 2
    Pour about 1" oil in large skillet. Heat to 375 degrees. Pour about 1/3 cup batter thru funnel. Swirling in a circular motion. Fry about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes. Turn. Fry about 1 - 1 1/2 minutes or until golden. Remove. Place on paper toweling. Keep warm.
  • Step 3
    In small bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, and 2 tablespoons half & half. Stir well. Add additional cream to thin if necessary. Drizzle a generous tablespoon over funnel cake. Top each with a generous tablespoon candied pecans. Serve immediately.
