- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/3 cups pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (see notes)
How To Make pumpkin chocolate chip bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9×5-inch metal loaf pan.

Step 2Whisk the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger in a medium bowl.

Step 3Stir the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, and melted butter in a large bowl.

Step 4Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir just until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Use an offset spatula to smooth and even the top. If desired, sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Step 5Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a smear of melted chocolate chips but no wet batter.
