First time I made this I took a loaf to work to share and everyone loved it and wanted the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 - 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 - large eggs
  • 1 - 16 oz, can pumpkin
  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup chopped nuts--walnuts or pecans

How To Make pumpkin cheese bread

  • Step 1
    Using a mixer combine sugar,softened cream cheese and butter. mixing until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time mixing well after each addition. Blend in pumpkin, add combined dry ingredients, mixing just till moistened. Fold in nuts. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9X5 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350-1 hr or until tooth pick comes out clean. Cool 10 min and remove from pan. finish cooling on wire rack. NOTE__ be sure NOT to get the pumpkin pie mix this recipe calls for just plain pumpkin.
