This is similar to my banana bread recipe as it is from my FAVORITE cookbook! I usually make the small loaves because I can either freeze them or share them at work. This is a very moist bread and always gets raves. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

  • 2 1/2 c
  • 8 oz
    softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 c
  • 4
  • 15 oz
    canned pumpkin
  • 3 1/2 c
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    pumpkin spice
  • 1 c

How to Make Pumpkin Cheese Bread


  1. Combine sugar, softened cream cheese , and margarine, mixing til blended.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Blend in pumpkin
  4. Add combined dry ingredients, mixing till moist.
  5. Fold in nuts.
  6. Pour into 2 -9x5 loaf pans OR 6 small greased loaf pans.
  7. Bake at 350 for 50 min (large loaves) or 40 min for small loaves. Test with toothpick.
  8. Let cool about 10 min.
