This recipe always makes a moist bread...I wanted to incorporate a cream cheese filling but didnt have it on hand..but I will include it in the recipe =)

all purpose flour
1/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c
1 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
1 tsp
pumpkin pie spices
1/2 c
vegetable oil
1/2 c
sour cream
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 c
pumpkin, canned or cooked

How to Make Pumpkin Bread W/Streusel Topping


  • 1Pre-heat oven 350*. Lightly butter 9x5 in. loaf pan
  • 2Mix flour, sugars, baking powder & soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice in a large bowl...whisk eggs, oil, sour cream, vanilla, & pumpkin in seperate bowl...add to dry ingredients and fold until combined
  • 3Spread batter in pan and top w/streusel topping...1 pkg.instant maple & brown sugar oatmeal,2 tbls. brown sugar,2 tbls. butter,1 tbls.flour..mix until resembles crumble...spread on top of batter and bake..55 min. or until toothpick comes out clean
  • 4If adding the cream cheese filling...whip 1 package of 8oz. cream cheese & 1/2 cup b.sugar and layer between the batter..then proceed with streusel topping...ENJOY!!! =)
