1 - 15 oz. can(s)
pumpkin

eggs, beaten
1 c
canola oil **
2/3 c
water
2 tsp
vanilla
3 1/2 c
flour
1/2 tsp
baking powder
2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt (optional)
2 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1/2 tsp
cloves
1/4 tsp
ginger
**
can use 1/2 cup applesauce and 1/2 cup canola oil to reduce the fat content

How to Make Pumpkin Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large mixing bowl, stir together the sugar, pumpkin, eggs, oil, water and vanilla.
  • 2Sift the remaining dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture. Stir until just blended.
  • 3Grease and flour three 8x4 inch loaf pans. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • 4Cool on rack for 10 minutes before removing from pans.
