This bread is very moist and flavorful. The recipe makes 3 loaves so we usually eat one, give one away, and freeze one.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 - 1/2 teaspoons salt (if desired)
  • 4 - large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin
  • 2/3 cup water

How To Make pumpkin bread

  • Step 1
    Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl. In another bowl, combine eggs, sugar, oil, & pumpkin; blend well and mix in water.
  • Step 2
    Add dry ingredients and mix until well blended (do not overmix).
  • Step 3
    Grease and flour 3 loaf pans. Divide batter evenly into the 3 pans.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until bread tests done.
