This bread is very moist and flavorful. The recipe makes 3 loaves so we usually eat one, give one away, and freeze one.

  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 - 1/2 tsp
    salt (if desired)
  • 4
    large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 3/4 c
  • 1 c
    canola oil
  • 2 c
    canned pumpkin
  • 2/3 c

How to Make Pumpkin Bread


  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl. In another bowl, combine eggs, sugar, oil, & pumpkin; blend well and mix in water.
  2. Add dry ingredients and mix until well blended (do not overmix).
  3. Grease and flour 3 loaf pans. Divide batter evenly into the 3 pans.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until bread tests done.
