This is a favorite recipe of mine, and I get a lot of requests for the recipe... It makes 2 loaves, because one just won't last very long! LOL... Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 4 - eggs,beaten
  • 1 can 16oz. pumpkin
  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup nuts,if desired
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon allspice, ground
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 cup raisins, if desired

How To Make pumpkin bread

  • Step 1
    Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs and pumpkin; mix well.
  • Step 2
    Stir together dry ingredients, add alternately with water. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9 x 5" loaf pans.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350* for 1 1/2 hours or until they test done with a pick. Let stand 10 minutes, remove from pan to cool. Slice and serve with cream cheese and orange marmalade whipped together, if desired. Enjoy!
