Pineapple Cheese Bread

Ingredients

·2 cups sifted flour

·3/4 cup sugar

·3 tsp. baking powder

·1/2 tsp. soda

·1 tsp. salt

·1 large egg

·1 can crushed pineapple, 8.5 oz, undrained

·2 tbsp. shortening, melted

·1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese

·1/2 cup chopped walnuts
How to Make Pineapple Cheese Bread
- Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, and salt. Beat egg lightly and stir in pineapple with syrup and shortening.
- Add dry ingredients and stir quickly til dry ingredients are moistened. Gently stir in cheese and walnuts and turn batter into greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or til cake tester comes out clean. Remove from pan and cool completely before slicing.
