Ingredients

  • 1 cup persimmon pulp
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup candied orange peel
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

How To Make persimmon bread

  • Step 1
    Combine pulp, sugar, egg, & oil; blend well.
  • Step 2
    Dust raisins with some of the flour. Sift remaining flour flour with baking powder, soda, & salt; add to creamed mixture
  • Step 3
    Add raisins, vanilla, orange peel, & nuts.
  • Step 4
    Bake in a 9"x5" loaf pan for 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350.
