baking powder
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
1 Tbsp
3/4 c
vegetable oil
2 c
white sugar
2 c
peeled shredded pears
1 c
chopped pecans
2 tsp

How to Make Pear Bread


  • 1In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • 2Make a well in the center of the bowl.
  • 3In a separate bowl, combine the oil, eggs, sugar, pears, pecans, and vanilla.
  • 4Blend well.
  • 5Add to well of dry ingredients.
  • 6Stir until just moistened.
  • 7Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8x5x3 inch loaf pans.
  • 8Bake at 325* for 1 hour, 15 mintues.
  • 9Cool on wire rack before taking out of the pan.
