A very good bread. Watch your bake time, it doesn't take mine this long to get done. Adjust for your oven.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 - eggs
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups peeled shredded pears
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

How To Make pear bread

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Step 2
    Make a well in the center of the bowl.
  • Step 3
    In a separate bowl, combine the oil, eggs, sugar, pears, pecans, and vanilla.
  • Step 4
    Blend well.
  • Step 5
    Add to well of dry ingredients.
  • Step 6
    Stir until just moistened.
  • Step 7
    Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8x5x3 inch loaf pans.
  • Step 8
    Bake at 325* for 1 hour, 15 mintues.
  • Step 9
    Cool on wire rack before taking out of the pan.
