  • 3 c
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 3/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 3
  • 2 c
    white sugar
  • 2 c
    peeled shredded pears
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 2 tsp

How to Make Pear Bread


  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. Make a well in the center of the bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the oil, eggs, sugar, pears, pecans, and vanilla.
  4. Blend well.
  5. Add to well of dry ingredients.
  6. Stir until just moistened.
  7. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8x5x3 inch loaf pans.
  8. Bake at 325* for 1 hour, 15 mintues.
  9. Cool on wire rack before taking out of the pan.
