I love to make quick breads and I love peaches. This is a great combination. I love making it during peach season. Yum! But, you can also make it with canned peaches.

  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 3
  • 1/4 c
  • 2 c
    white sugar
  • 2 c
    peeled, pitted and chopped peaches
  • 1 c
    nuts, chopped (pecans or walnuts)

  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted butter

How to Make Peach Bread


  1. Combine topping ingredients until mixture is crumbly; set aside.

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease and flour 2 loaf pans.

    Peel and chop peaches, set aside. (add a little lemon juice to keep from darkening)
  2. In a large bow, mix the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. In a separate bow, mix the oil, eggs, yogurt and sugar. Stir the oil mixture into the flour mixture just until moist. Fold in peaches and nuts. Spoon into prepared pans.
  3. Sprinkle topping mix evenly over batter in loaf pans. Bake 1 hour - 1 hour 5 minutes until done. Test with cake tester or toothpick. Cool for 10 minutes before turning out onto wire racks to cool completely.
