loaf french bread, sliced
6 large
eggs
1 1/2 c
milk
1 1/2 c
half and half
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/8 tsp
nutmeg

TOPPING:

1 c
brown sugar, packed
1 c
pecans, chopped
1/2 c
butter or margarine, softened
2 Tbsp
maple syrup

How to Make Overnight French Toast

Step-by-Step

  • 1For the toast: Arrange bread in a lightly greased 13x9 inch baking dish and set aside.
  • 2Beat remaining ingredients together; pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • 3The next morning, combine topping ingredients and spread over bread.
  • 4Bake for 45-55 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
