Orange Bread

I had in my little recipe notebook a recipe for Orange Muffins. Instead of muffins, I made it into three little mini-loaves - and it turned out delish and cute!

  • 3 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2
  • 2 c
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1
    large orange for juice and zest
  • 1 c
  • 4 tsp
    baking powder

How to Make Orange Bread


  1. Heat oven to 350. Stir flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in large bowl. Blend in melted butter. Add in eggs and milk and stir well. Add orange juice and zest; mix until well combined.
  2. Pour batter into greased muffin tins or greased 3 mini-loaf pans.
  3. Bake 20-30 minutes depending on if you make muffins or loaves, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  4. Remove and cool; dust with powdered sugar.
