Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3 or 4 medium bananas, very ripe and mashed
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
How To Make oatmeal chip banana bread

Step 1Grease a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-65 minutes

Step 2In a mixing bowl cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add bananas and mix well.

Step 3In another bowl combine flour, oats, baking soda , baking power and salt; add to the creamed mixture, stirring just until moistened. Stir in chocolate chips. pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-65 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in pan. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
