I got this recipe from my niece several years ago because it was so fluffy and sweet and tasted so much better than Jiffy.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising buttermilk corn meal
  • 11/2 cups self rising flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1or11/2 cup milk

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350degrees,
  • Step 2
    Mix all the dry ingred. first then add all others. Stir well, pour into a hot greased iron skillet or whatever you use to cook your cornbread in. Cook until top is golden brown and middle is firm to the touch.
