my daughter is expecting a baby and she was craving banana bread. i looked around the house and had every thing i needed. the loaf lasted one day.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 2
    eggs
  • 5
    very ripe mashed bananas
  • 1/2 c
    butter crisco
  • 1/2 c
    apple sauce
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How to Make my baby girls' favorite " banana bread"

Step-by-Step

  1. mix all dry ingred. together
  2. cream together sour cream, eggs and butter crisco in seperate bowl. add dry mixture and creamed indgredients along with vanilla and incorporate bananas until all mixed. i add my apple sauce last it helps to thin batter just a little. batter will be thick but thats okay:)
  3. bake at 300 until golden brown. and the ensure doneness stick a toothpick in center. if clean then your done. brush butter on top of loaf and enjoy
  4. you might a little batter left over.
