Ingredients
- 3 medium ripe bananas
- 2 large egg
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 tablespoons oil (i use corn oil)
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts
How To Make mother's banana bread (sallye)

Step 1Preheat oven to 325º Chop nuts and set aside Grease or lightly spray a 8" x 5" x 3" loaf pan.

Step 2In large mixing bowl, mash bananas until no lumps remain. Be patient, this can take a few minutes. Add unbeaten egg to bananas and mix well. Beat in sugar, molasses and oil until well blended.

Step 3Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together. Pour nuts into sifted flour to cover.

Step 4Mix flour and nuts into mixture until well blended. Pour into greased loaf pan Cook in preheated 325º oven for 1 hour.
