My daughter Brittney made this recipe when she took a foods class in high school. She is now in college and I make it for her every time she comes home to visit. It's great for breakfast, brunches or anytime.

Ingredients

1/2 c
sugar
1 tsp
cinnamon
2 can(s)
grands buttermilk biscuits cut into quarters
3/4 c
melted butter
1 c
brown sugar
chopped nuts for topping (optional)

How to Make Monkey Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine white sugar and cinnamon.
  • 2Cut each biscuit into quarters. Roll the biscuit quarters in the sugar/cinnamon mixture.
  • 3Arrange the biscuits in a greased bundt pan.
  • 4Melt the butter and brown sugar over med/low heat. Pour the mixture over the biscuits. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
  • 5Bake at 350 for approximately 1/2 hour.
  • 6Cool 10 minutes before serving.
