Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon shortening
- 1 cup milk
- 1 - cake yeast, dissolved
- CHEESE FILLING:
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 - eggs
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 - egg yolk
How To Make mom's cottage cheese buns

Step 1Mix all dry ingredients together. Add shortening, egg, milk and dissolved yeast. Knead until smooth. Place in a warm place to rise 2 hours or more.

Step 2Roll out on board 1/4 thick; cut into 4 inch squares.

Step 3Place tablespoon cheese filling in each square; fold corners.

Step 4Place in greased pan. Let stand for 1/2 hour.

Step 5Brush tops with egg yolk. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
