How to Make Mom's Cottage Cheese Buns
1Mix all dry ingredients together. Add shortening, egg, milk and dissolved yeast. Knead until smooth. Place in a warm place to rise 2 hours or more.
2Roll out on board 1/4 thick; cut into 4 inch squares.
3Place tablespoon cheese filling in each square; fold corners.
4Place in greased pan. Let stand for 1/2 hour.
5Brush tops with egg yolk. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
