    very ripe bananas
  • 1/2 c
    margarine
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    milk, sour
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips, mini
  • ·
    chopped nuts of your choice
  • ·
    milk/powder sugar glaze for topping

How to Make Mary's Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Mash bananas very well. Cream together margarine and sugar. Add eggs, milk and bananas.
  3. In a separate bowl , mix together flour, soda, powder,and salt.
  4. Add flour mixture to banana mixture, then add chocolate chips.
  5. Pour into 2 loaf pans prayed with PAM. Top with nuts and bake.
  6. Bake at 325 degree for 40-50 minutes - use a toothpick to test. Cool on a wire rack and glaze with frosting while still warm.
