Ingredients

  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 jar 1 lbs orange marmalade
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup canola oil

How To Make marmalade bread

  • Step 1
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Step 2
    Set aside 1/4 cup of marmalade.
  • Step 3
    Combine remaining marmalade, egg,orange juice and canola oil.
  • Step 4
    Add this to sifted ingredients and stir until moistened.
  • Step 5
    Pour mixture into prepared 9 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until lightly browned.
  • Step 6
    When bread is done, remove from pan and place on baking sheet. Spread remaining marmalade over the top and return to oven for about 1 minute to glaze.
  • Step 7
    Remove from pan and place on wire rack. This is best served warm.
