Ingredients

  • 3 c
    sifted flour
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 jar(s)
    1 lbs orange marmalade
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 3/4 c
    orange juice
  • 3/4 c
    canola oil

How to Make Marmalade Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Set aside 1/4 cup of marmalade.
  3. Combine remaining marmalade, egg,orange juice and canola oil.
  4. Add this to sifted ingredients and stir until moistened.
  5. Pour mixture into prepared 9 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until lightly browned.
  6. When bread is done, remove from pan and place on baking sheet. Spread remaining marmalade over the top and return to oven for about 1 minute to glaze.
  7. Remove from pan and place on wire rack. This is best served warm.
