Mom made everything taste wonderful. This was her pumpkin bread recipe, and I smile every time I make it because I remember making it with her when I was small. Even though she passed when I was little, making her recipes with my daughter keeps her alive in my heart and in my kitchen.

- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 cups pumpkin
- 4 - eggs
- 2/3 cup cold water
- 1 cup oil
- 1 small bag chopped nuts

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 3 medium sized bread pans or 2 large pans. Mix dry ingredients, then combine liquid ingredients. Bake 1 hour or until done.
