Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/3 c
    dry duncan hines lemon cake mix
  • 3 tsp
    poppy seeds
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    each: baking soda and baking powder
  • 1
    (4 oz) snack size applesauce

How to Make "Lemon Poppy Seed Bread" gift in a jar bake in the jar

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix together all but the applesauce and put in a baggy and into the jar, add the package of applesauce and close lid. Decorate and add a tag
  2. Lemon Poppy Seed Bread (you bake in a jar)

    Remove contents of jar. In a bowl add the dry ingredients and the applesauce. To that add

    1 tablespoon oil
    1 egg
    1 tsp lemon flavoring

    mix well. Spray the inside of the jar with cooking oil and add batter. Do not place lid on jar.
    Put the jar in a small baking dish for stablize. bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes or until done. Take from oven and let rest 10 minutes. Run knife around the jar to loosen. slice and serve.
