- 1/2 cup of butter
- 11/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 - eggs
- 2 large lemons (grate the rind)
- LEMON GLAZE
- JUICE OF 1 LEMON
- 1/2 CUP OF GRANULATED SUGAR

Step 1Cream together butter,sugar, and eggs-add milk and stir in flour,salt,baking powder.Add lemon rind last. Stir well,Baked in a greased non stick loaf panat 350, for 45 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.Mix juice of 1 lemonwith 1/2 cup sugar, spoon over bread loaf while still hot and still in pan
