Family and friends all love this even down to the little ones, it makes a terrific dessert by adding strawberries or blueberries along with whipped cream or just eaten plain by the slice, is great anytime of the year

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 11/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 large lemons (grate the rind)
  • LEMON GLAZE
  • JUICE OF 1 LEMON
  • 1/2 CUP OF GRANULATED SUGAR

How To Make lemon bread loaf

  • Step 1
    Cream together butter,sugar, and eggs-add milk and stir in flour,salt,baking powder.Add lemon rind last. Stir well,Baked in a greased non stick loaf panat 350, for 45 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.Mix juice of 1 lemonwith 1/2 cup sugar, spoon over bread loaf while still hot and still in pan
